2021年に開催された東京五輪における柔道競技では、従来と比べて、寝姿勢の攻防が多く見られ、日本勢も阿部詩、新井千鶴、浜田尚里らが印象的な寝技(抑え込み・絞め技・関節技)で勝利を収めた。七帝大学柔道(高専柔道)で開発された「亀」の崩し方、レスリングのグラウンドテクニックに由来すると思われるコントロール法、ロシアの格闘技サンボの流れを汲む立ち技から関節技への移行、ブラジリアン柔術の技術を活かした絞め技……従来の胸と胸を合わせることを主とした抑え込みとは異なる、様々なコントロール技術が展開されるのが、現在の柔道である。<br />\r\n
そこで、本書では、岡野功、柏崎克彦といった寝技の名伯楽の指導を受けた経験を活かし、世界ジュニア選手権・全日本学生体重別選手権・全日本選抜体重別・嘉納杯などで優勝、指導者となってからは、高校時代の阿部詩に寝技を指導し、全日本体重別選手権を連覇した舟久保遥香の代名詞である(俗にいう)「舟久保固め」を開発した矢嵜雄大氏に、現在の柔道界における寝技の潮流について、解説してもらった。映像を併せてご覧いただくことで、理解を深めていただきたい。<br />\r\n
